PROJECT : PRECEDENT STUDY AND ANALYSIS(PISA CATHEDRAL)
In PART A, we were required to do in-depth research and conduct discussions on our assigned historical building on an online forum provided. My group and I had been tasked with looking for information on the Pisa Cathedral, our assigned historical building. Thus, i had turned to internet sources and our university library for information. Through the group discussions on the online forum, i was able to gather and discover even more information on the Pisa Cathedral.
In PART B, we were required to do individual analysis on one part of Pisa Cathedral that was to be presented on an analysis presentation board. The question assigned to me that is to analyze the spatial organization of the cathedral, which includes, i. Spatial planning & Siting, ii. Building sequence and process, iii. Public vs. private, iv. Axes, v. Symmetry & balance, vi. Repetitive to unique, vii. Additive and subtractive, viii. Hierarchy
In PART C, all my groupmates come and work together to produce a 3D extraction model of Pisa Cathedral. We made a full exterior model as Romanesque focuses more on the exterior. The material used was Balsa wood.
